You were born into the wild

like a raging fire in the candlelight,

and you turned your eyes

to the distant skies.

But, I am not carved from stone.

When I fall down it shatters bone

and I need a little respect.

Try to live my life without regret.

But, sometimes when you’re by my side

in the clever mystery of souls entwined,

it’s enough to make me justify the loss

when you’re gone.

All the passing of days

through all these sleepless nights,

just can’t fade away

what I see when I look in your eyes.

When you’re gone.

When you’re gone.
